Why Is My Refrigerator Not Cooling Properly?

Most people consider their refrigerator to be the most important appliance that they own. You and your family depend on it greatly and when it stops working it becomes a major emergency. We know the importance that the refrigerator has for our customers so we have put together some of the most common reasons why it might have stopped cooling.

Your food items may be preventing the refrigerator from cooling.

If you have large food items or containers that are lined up towards the back end of your refrigerator you might be preventing it from cooling properly. We recommend that you move larger objects away from the back end of your refrigerator since you might be preventing it from cooling correctly. You want to have proper air flow to cool off your fridge and items that block it could be decreasing your refrigerators temperature.

The lights in your refrigerator might be staying on.

Believe it or not your refrigerator light may be keeping your refrigerator from cooling. If it is not turning off then it is producing heat and that could be bad news for your food items If your fridge is not cooling how it used to then we recommend checking to see if that light is going out.

Your coils are no longer clean.

The coils in your refrigerator work by dissipating heat. If they are not doing their job then the refrigerator will not work properly.
